Two Papers Accepted at ASE'26—and Two Awards for Pig! 🥳
We have a few exciting updates to share!
Two of our papers have been accepted to ASE 2026, to be held in Munich, Germany 🇩🇪:
- Disassembly-Augmented Root Cause Analysis for C/C++ Segmentation Faults in SAP HANA (Industry Showcase Track) is joint work with SAP Labs Korea and SAP. The paper identifies a key bottleneck in LLM-based root cause analysis for C/C++ crashes and shows that providing disassembly information about the faulting instruction can improve RCA performance.
- Is Three the Magic Number? An Empirical Evaluation of LLM-Based Repair Loops (NIER Track) is joint work with Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. It takes a closer look at repair loops, which is a common component of many LLM-based software engineering frameworks, and studies how many repair iterations are actually useful.
We are also delighted that Pig: Leveraging Large Language Models for Python Library Migrations received both the ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award and the Distinguished Artifact Award at FSE 2026 🏆🏆
